AC with under 2000TT
I heard that some guys with jet experience, an atpl but less than 2000h (1500h) got hired. I’m doubting it but has anyone here heard of people getting in with less than 2000h lately?
Re: AC with under 2000TT
No one has. All applicants hired since last year all had 2000+hrs often much more lol.

Re: AC with under 2000TT
There was a 22 year old a couple classes ago that couldn’t have had much more than 2k if that high at all. There have also been lots of young Air Force guys releasing at the end of their first commitment and their TT is low as well. Generally the experience level has been staying high but every ground school there has been a couple low timers that would surprise you.

I can confirm that there are pilots that have left Flair for AC and had less than 2000TT. No one with 1500H though, they were close to 2000

Any skippers leave? Seems to be few and far between that leave Flair for AC as a Captain..

Almost all FO's, although occasionally we have a captain go to ACMAX8 Driver wrote: ↑Mon May 29, 2023 5:13 pmAny skippers leave? Seems to be few and far between that leave Flair for AC as a Captain..

Heard sub 2000 TT’s getting through the hiring process with a sim eval. Resume pile thinning out?
Re: AC with under 2000TT
That's correct. Sim evals are happening. And there seems to be at least 1 guy with less than 2000hrs in every class now.
Sept 25 class was almost all Jazz for what it's worth.

a2btrail is correct…
The 2000 hours is a hard requirement, even for the military fast jet guys. It is possible that some were interviewed with less than 2000 hours. And it was recently re-affirmed that the 2000 hour requirement will not be reduced.

The post you’re referring to was posted quite awhile ago and is in direct contradiction to the post above.sportingrifle wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2024 10:34 pm a2btrail is correct…
