Rats leaving the sinking ship?

Post by mmm..bacon »

My job alert at Jazz just informed me that they're now looking for a 'Chief Pilot, Line Operations'. (Not sure why their algorithm thought that I was qualified!) I'm sure that it will go internally; would anyone external go to what appears to be a seriously listing ship?

Why not? If you like to be home 7 days a week and some experience as management pilot, looks great. If you commute and live in a crash pad while working 100+ block hours, then less so.

CPLO was promoted to DFO.

Job posting likely both internal and external. Last time was filled external.

While things at Jazz are far from rosy this tittle is clickbait at best.

Yes, but the June 30 seniority list can be used to calculate YTD departures and YTD additions.

It won’t be a pretty picture.

Talked to a fellow pilot and he told me
His friend was hired with 500 hours at Jazz! Is this really happening at Jazz?

I’m surprised it’s not lower than 500 hours.

Only experience they can get to actually apply to this sad excuse of what once was a good airline to work for. Not faulting these guys at this experience level. If it were me with 500 hours I would be extremely excited, proceed to get my atpl, then leave.
