Also big movement in Yvr. More captain vacancies there than the other 3 bases combined.
Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
For those who care. New hire class of 37 starting Monday June 19th.
Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
What's the timeline these days from application submission to interview?

Do you know which aircraft/positions were offered in the last class or might be offered in the next class?

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
If you get an rp position on the 330, 777, 787 can you eventually upgrade positions to fo on the same plane? Or would you have to go on a narrow body to get that jet time and re bid to get back on a widebody as a fo? Forgive me, just curious how that whole thing works.
Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
you can go from RP to widebody FO, however you'd be burning your RP and Widebody FO bidflyfasttakechances wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2023 2:26 pm If you get an rp position on the 330, 777, 787 can you eventually upgrade positions to fo on the same plane? Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
There's no such rules like that. You can bid whatever your seniority will allow (and assuming you have the course rights). You could technically go RP straight to WB captain.flyfasttakechances wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2023 2:26 pm If you get an rp position on the 330, 777, 787 can you eventually upgrade positions to fo on the same plane? Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
Yes, you could get hired and go RP on the 787 then bid 787 FO down the road for example, and use half a course right as BingBong said. No requirement to go FO on a narrowbody first.
Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
Hell, we’ve had guys do their command course on the Triple. Bid what you can hold!

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
For all those wondering
A class of 40 started started 2 days ago. YYZ YUL and YVR with a mix of narrow and wide body positions are being offered.
Calls are going out for August ground school.

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
How many GS's of 40 are ran a month? Would a late July interview be within the timeline for a late August GS provided one is successful?
Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
I had background check last week, and references two days ago. Is this a good sign? How much longer can I expect for a offer? It's about 4 weeks after my interview
