APC “Air Partners Corp”

Post by FlyingFreighter »

What’s the deal with APC. Job ads are very frequent and no one ever talks about them. Any insight on them as an operator? The constant job ads is a red flag for myself. I understand lots of people are doing a shuffle and probably leaving to the airlines but still makes me wonder. If anyone kne has recent WAWCONS I would most definitely be interested in hearing your perspective.

Alright fine. Go interview there, ask the questions about schedule and movent you'll see what I mean when I say; It's a bit of an odd place. Fractional ownership, you get hired to an owner, not an aeroplane per se. If you want to bid onto a better plane you apply, and if they can back fill your spot, they may let you move. To me, the schedule sounded like indentured slavery. They assured me that the people there like it. Now we'll let Cunningham's law of the internet take over...

Hi FlyingFreighter. Sorry for no reply as I didn't actually notice your post until today.

With regards to our ads, there has definitely been some movement as there is with any 704 operator out there. However, additionally, we have added several tails and are trying bolster our roster in order to ensure crew are afforded a good work life balance. We are an ad-hoc, on demand charter company so the schedule is fluid for sure, but guys are working 12-14 days/month on average. There are definitely months where you will work 8 days and months where you will work 18 days...this is an inevitable side-effect of our business model.

As for the company, we are definitely not a fractional ownership model. We are a management company. Some of the aircraft operate strictly under 604 ops, but most operate under both 604 and 704 operations. Given our fleet diversity, we will operate from very local/small strips to overseas destinations. You also do not get hired to an owner, nor a specific tail (assuming we have more than one type of that tail). If you are a Citation X pilot, you fly the fleet (we operate 5 of them). If you fly the Challenger, you fly that fleet and not a specific tail.

Should you wish to find out more, I encourage you to apply and you can chat with us directly. It will definitely get you more appropriate information than from online forums and allow us to directly respond to questions you may have.

I hope this helps.

What’s the schedule like? Do you get assigned days off a month or is time off credited for days not flown? This might answer why there is numerous ads
