Well hopefully it will start up again... It seems like Jazz is calling a ton of people everyday now.

Either way its a great time to be employable if you want to get somewhere chances are pretty good you might get a shot.

Got interviewed on Nov 15th... know guys who have been interviewed every week since mid-october, and still going on. Waiting for the call for the sim. The guys before me all have their date. So its still going on.

Anyone know if there are still openings in YUL?

Would be interested to know how many phone calls AC makes to people in the new year only to find out they have already been taken by Jazz.

Here's to under qualified females and Daddy's boys, long may they fly. :D

Less than 3000 hours and 0 pic time. That's qualified to you is it ??

I'll be sure to make all my bookings with Jazz, at least they are accually hiring the guys with a real resume!!!!!!

...and is more qualified than the rest of us...quit complaining about other people's good fortune and make yourself marketable. It's not about time and if you think it is, you'll likely make a bad impression on the guys currently doing the hiring.

It's not about "time" if you don't have any, but it sure is if you have good time and haven't been called. Honestly it's a bit of a kick in the pills. Still too early to be crying "no fair" though. With the new hiring process in place I think it will be geared to those more deserving (reguardless of TT) as you will be tested and if you get through you deserve to be there.

Anyway, I could start to bitch about some of those already hired, but whats the point? It won't change anything, it will make you look like a whiner, and it brings down the forum in general when lets be honest, times are good and getting better.

Stay on target.

Obbie

Air Canada is looking for greater than 2000 hours and a universitydegree/college diploma for now.

And yes, they are qualified. They are all doing very well on the ground school courses and in the simulator.

Hiring processes do not merely include how many hours you may have. Air Canada knows that you know how to fly, their question is, can you fly for them!! They want good, keen attitudes and healthy, long term employees. If they can't cut in in the simulator or on the line, well, they are on probation and can be let go. So far that hasn't happened.

So if "Obbie" Airways want high time, bitter employees who think the job is their right and not their privilege, then good luck.

Where did you get your info from, I know 2 people hired at AC mainline that have low time, little experience and neither have college degrees at all, but they were both hired. Both of them have maybe 2000 hours and no PIC to speak of unless you count flight training.

Oh and from my earlier post I have Jazz interview, 3400 hours tt, King Air 200 PIC and Jetstream SIC
