Expect the job offer next week
How many GS's of 40 are ran a month? Would a late July interview be within the timeline for a late August GS provided one is successful?
Its a GS every two weeks. A late July interview is highly unlikely to make the cut for an August GS. I'd say it takes about 3 months from interview to GS. So a November GS is probably realistic.

Correct. From my understanding no more July ground schools. Anyone in process ie ( recent interview, background check etc...). You can expect a August start date. Late July training dept slows down as its peak summer. It will ramp back up come Sept 2023 with g/s every two weeks.

Couple of us got a verbal offer for July 26 class yesterday. Interview to offer about 4 weeks. Good luck everyone!

Did you have problem with your medical or psychology test? Some people have to redo their medical or psychology test so it might take longer. But background check is a good sign! References are not always called, it's 50/50

What is your experience just out of curiosity

I’d send an email to the HR person you’ve been in contact with and inquire about your application process. Some guys have interviewed way after you and have already received a Job offer

Oh I know lol I will send an email next week, that’ll be the end of the 12 week waiting period they warned me about on the day of my interview.
Thanks for the advice my friend.

When does the call go out usually? 2 weeks before the GS?

FYI, to the July 26 PIT. There are approximately 560 pilots hired since Jan 2023. With this rate of 35-40 people in each class, 2 classes per month. It will be 900+ pilots hired by end of 2023. And hiring will continue in 2024 with 500-600 pilots

Jazz pilots who did their interview on Jan 2023 or later, are pre-assigned to PIT in Sep, Oct and Nov, half of class will be jazz.

I could be wrong but it's look like for the OTS, they are doing in-person interview 5 days a week, two interview boards running at same time. 8 people interviewed a day, 160 interviewed a month. And they hire around 80 a month, so for OTS is close to 50% of successful rate
Thanks for the update!

Are the calls going out for Aug 23rd class?

I wonder if AC will actually follow through with jazz pilots starting from sep to nov, considering how much further it will deplete jazz of pilots. Unless AC is hoping to start shutting down jazz bases and consolidating staff into one or two bases. At this point anything is possible.

Actually, it's a conditional offer, I've heard it's a different offer than what OTS guys are getting. Most likely they will honor the offer but you never know, nothing is 100%

I don’t think it would surprise anyone if they delayed all the jazz start dates to support commercial interest. AC’s track record with jazz pilots isn’t great.

The Jazz pilots with September conditionals recently got upgraded to formal offers so at least for this group they are definitely following through.
