Ah! I guess I "disqualify" as well as I missed this restriction
Not sure if there is that many General aviation pilots only in this forum though...

But why restrict your topic to this particular group?
Just wanted to encourage GA’s voice, its not really represented well…..

Honest question. Offer your services as a moderator to this site’s owners, you are obviously quite active on this site and no doubt feel you can contribute to the quality of the GA sub section. Nothing wrong with that and if you are granted mod status then you will have the authority to step in when comments get distracted. Just a thought that’s all, nothing more to read into it.

You honestly think he didn't already try that and was immediately shot down? Look at how he behaves. What do you think avcanada would look like with Rookie as a moderator?

Are you also primarily a GA pilot?
How do you define primarily? Am I still actively involved in GA? Yes! Have I flown more GA types than you? Just about guarantee it! Do I have more GA hours than you? Absolutely! Have I flown GA in multiple countries and continents? You betcha!

But even if I didn't have any of those qualifiers. The fact that you feel free to yap about professional pilot matters without having ever been one, I believe would give me the freedom to do the same about GA.
Noted. That is a fair comment.

I have and will continue to try to stay off such forums that are for professional pilots.
That's the point you're not getting, Rookie. It has nothing to do with your qualifications and everything to do with your attitude. No one cares whether you've been this or that. It's your entitled and know-it-all attitude that gets you the replies it does.

I don't believe this is a problem with avcanada. It is just a reflection of GA in Canada as a whole. If you visit r/flying you'll notice the same from GA to professional matters. Posts and questions that elicit hundreds of replies when they're regarding the US, generally only get 10-20 at best when they're about Canada. Sometimes they even go unanswered. Canada is a very small market when it comes to GA. Why don't you come over to r/flying? It has a healthy GA community and strong participation from them. I warn you though, you'll be treated in kind.

It seems to me that this is a situation where the KISS principle applies. If you want to post here under your own name, knock yourself out: there's nothing to prevent you from doing so. If you want to post under a pseudonym, for whatever reason, you can do so. And if you want to take advantage of your anonymity to indulge in bickering and name-calling, rather than making a substantive contribution to the forum, you'll become known pretty soon as "that guy" and will be called out as such.

Honestly, I am not on Avcanada enough to really care who moderates it or their selection process.

Kindest regards.

The Site Owner probably told him to sit down and STFU, one hopes that's how it went down.

NO block

rookie is such a hypocrite it makes me want to puke. You mentioned people are privileged to read your Twitter posts? Any one using the troll word as much as you and boasting about their followers must be such a winner LOL. Was it so vile of me to pm you and tell you to stfu about something you don't know about.. an airline you don't work for. (That was like a year ago) sooo vile. Sorry I hurt your feelings and it still burns. You don't fly for a living but you talk like you do. Arm chair wannabe pilot. You should start a G.A. exclusive forum... use your business prowess LOL

Sounds like you got put in your place finally

Perhaps time to lock the thread. The poll is complete and opinions have been posted.

Agreed, time to lock this out. The dude isn't a moderator here and I noticed past couple of days he has been on the Flair Airlines sub forum site and on an APLA thread as well, perhaps other Airline sites . He is just a business owner who flies around in his single engine airplane, let him prattle on. He is of no threat to anybody here.

Now I’m getting more DM’s like this winner. This is not the first.

Admittedly so I’ve made lots of very dumb posts — and way out of my lane, granted — I apologize for posting anything on airline forums, none of my business but DM’s like this are way over the top.

I should have the right to block this poster. And this kind of stuff isn’t good for this site, is it?

No one should have to put up with unwanted direct messages.

I don’t think an employer should ever hire someone who doxxes people with messages like this, but that is just my OP.

Vile?

If me telling you to stfu is vile you best live in a bubble. The world is a scary place.

You need help man... you're clearly deranged. Your posts should be sent to your wife and psychiatrist

Yup that was me. Block away. I say it how it is. Told you exactly the same thing one year ago.. sorry it still burns. This rookie wannabepilot is so predictable to paste this here. Self-professed financial guru with 2400 followers haha.. Keep blabbing on avcanada to someone you think actually cares. Glad I got that narcissist to finally apologize for being a nuisance on avcanada.
