I'll be attending the next groundschool. I was wondering how the training pay works. Is it your full rate that you start at with perdiems for the hours you're in groundschool?

This is what I could find to answer your training pay question. However I am not sure about perdiems as I am assuming it depends on the base you accepted on hiring and the facility you are training at. The Standards pilots you meet on day 1 should be able to help you out on that pursuit.
21-9.01. A new hire Pilot, who is in Initial Training, shall be paid the MMG prorated based on
their start date. A Pilot who successfully completes initial ground and simulator training
midway through the Monthly Scheduling Period shall be entitled to the MMG or their actual
scheduled monthly Credit, whichever is greater

I think for per diem if you’re not yyc based you get per diem from the moment your flight leaves your base to the moment it lands back at your base
