Talk about a callous comment to make. Zero but abolutely ZERO respect given to you for making such a comment Reinhard. Speaking of which:

Assholes aside, is it me or are we seeing an augment in fatal accidents that happen to be held during such events?

Pawnees are pretty tough and this is probably going to be determined to a failure due to fatigue cracking or corrosion. Looks like the rear spar pulled out of the fuselage.

Having said that, dumping the entire load while simultaneously pulling up is pushing the margins. During the load dump G is loaded on to the airplane as the weight is rapidly decreased but the aerodynamic lift isn’t. Additionally most ag planes pitch up on their own due to the airflow around the load as it passes under the tail. Adding a pull up to all of this could easily overstress an already weakened airframe. Sad.

Serves them right. How dare they assume the child’s gender? They have no idea which pronouns they/them will use.

How is it callous? It's a beautiful quote from the final act of Hamlet by William Shakespeare. Used to pay respect to the deceased.

Dad's call sign was Hamlet, I used that line at his funeral.

Yeah, it's definitely a term that is used to convey respect, 100% respect. The whole sentence from Shakespeare is "Good night, sweet prince, and flights of angels sing thee to thy rest."

You and a couple of others are indeed right. I over reacted and miss read the original comment as being malicious.

I’m still curious to know what would cause anyone to choose a Username such as said poster chose… ?

Not sure what my browser was “tuned to” has anything to do with what you quoted.

I have an uncle named Reinhard. That side of my family is Ashkenazic from the Eastern German/Western Poland border. Are you implying that only Nazi Germans use that name? Perhaps you should share your name so we can Google individuals with the same who have done horrible things.

Sounds like someone who could describe a lot of us at some point of our careers here!

In my case it was a nickname that stuck for awhile after flying my first season on floats. The irony is that I had done nothing to deserve “catching” that nickname!

I should have probably changed it years ago but suffice to say it isn’t a name that one could easily associate with the third reich either.

Have you ever heard of Godwin's Law?

Godwin's law, short for Godwin's law (or rule) of Nazi analogies, is an Internet adage asserting that as an online discussion grows longer (regardless of topic or scope), the probability of a comparison to Nazis or Adolf Hitler approaches 1.

Sure, but have you heard of Cole's Law?

No?

It's thinly sliced cabbage with mayo.

There is a lengthy and very interesting thread about this accident on a well known rumour network. So I was anxious to see what could be learned here on Avcanada.

Not much. Hope my username is ok. To be or not to be... that is the question.
