Porter Airlines Hiring Time Lines ( from resume to line indoc ?)

Post by lidi »

Good day everyone,

I would like to hear from anyone that was hired at Porter Airlines for the Q400 down at YTZ how long the process takes place from Porter calling you for an interview to sim eval, training and line indoc? Curious to see for the future and the possibilities.

Thank you all and looking forward to reading some comments.

Impossible to answer for any carrier.

Do the interview, get a call anywhere from a day later to 6 weeks later. Maybe a groundschool 3 weeks later, oh wait had a drop out so your gnd school is now only a week later.

Oh busy sim, so sim starts a month later, wait sick call your up. On the line, you’re awesome and get line indoc done fast but if you’re slow it’s extended. Plus there might not be any trainers so that affects things.

As you can see it is an impossible thing to answer. I personally know people who have interviewed at a place, called the next day and started training within a couple weeks. I also know people who have waited.

Short story I guess could be anywhere from 3 months to 6 months.
