Not sure how many times this needs to be said, Australia and the United States have a free trade agreement in place; a section of said agreement stipulates that Australian pilots may obtain E-3 visas to work in the United States. What does that have to do with Canada exactly?

It has to do with a country on the other side of the world has free flow agreement for pilots. While the large economic and cultural bloc that is Canada and US does not. That there seems to be so kind of back door deal to stop a hemorrhage of Canadian pilots leave for better WAWCONS. Which would result in WAWCONS vastly improving on the Canadian side.

Why don’t you contact your local Member of Parliament and express your concerns? There’s a reason that Canadian pilots are the only stakeholders in this situation who are agitating for the ability to work in the United States - it’s a political non-starter. Ask any American pilot what they think of potentially opening the floodgates to hundreds, if not thousands, of Canadian pilots. What effect do you think that will have on the labour market for pilots in the United States? We should be focusing our collective efforts on improving conditions in our industry here in Canada.Blueontop wrote: ↑Sun Nov 12, 2023 11:11 am It has to do with a country on the other side of the world has free flow agreement for pilots. Ok (generally point taken) however 1, it’s perfectly acceptable to all other stake holders in US and Australia? And 2, basically negligible.Cavalier44 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 12, 2023 12:56 pmWhy don’t you contact your local Member of Parliament and express your concerns?
