As I just reached the airlines (flying 737), I am thinking of trading my A20 for something more comfortable on the long flights.
I was advised to get the QC45/uflymike combo, but the echo issue pushed me towards the Sony XM5 with uflymike (I also feel the Sony more comfortable than the QC45 when worn backwards).
Can anyone who already tested the Sony give his/her feedback?

If your fleet is mostly MAX8 and you’re not commuting/deadheading too much then consider spending some extra coin and get the Bose Proflight instead.
I don't really like the in ear headsets. Also I like the A20, but start getting tired of it after long flights.
And I already bought the sony XM5 so I'm just thinking of getting the uflymike in the coming days/weeks.

Keep the A20. Or buy something else designed for pilots.
If you buy the ufly you’ll be holding your mic to the mouth with your hand after 6 months. I’ve seen it 100 times before and it’s ridiculous.
Welcome to the airlines, it’s your career. Use professional equipment.
I, along with about 25% of the pilots I fly with use the ufly and I have no idea what you’re talking about. Mine is 7 years old and I’ve never had an issue. I’ll switch to “professional equipment” when someone makes something better that doesn’t go in my ear.

Amazing, good job. You must be one of those who maintain their possessions really well. In my experience, less than 25% of pilots I fly with use the ufly, and the ones that do are constantly adjusting their mic cable. But cool. All good.
The OP was asking whether to sell the A20 and “downgrade” to the ufly. I said keep it. They already own the A20. There’s a difference between deciding to buy one or the other.
Edit: just re read my post. Sounds a tad more aggressive than I wanted it to. Apologies. Also, check out the Bose A30. Professional gear, and apparently more comfortable.

I actually own an A20. I tried out a qc 25 and uflymike and ordered one the same day. The A20 is way bulky and heavy for me on long flights in a jet.

If you get a quiet enough jet, you can go speakers and hand mics!

I had the proflight. It was a good headset but if you're like me and don't like the in ear system and constantly having to adjust it, get the uflymike. I cannot imagine having any other set up anymore. From a price, comfort and practicality standpoint, this is the best setup in the game.
I have the A20 and did the QC35/UFlyMike combo as a backup. My A20 is now my backup. Love the UFlyMike! That is saying a lot because the A20 is a fantastic setup. It’s just my second choice
