I offer my opinion without prejudice

Well, I'm cheering for "the transport expedition"!
I know they won't let us down now.... They can't. There are farrrrr tooo many impressionable eyes on this one.
You're listening, aren't you?... You who work for Transport Canada.... this one won't hide.... won't get away in the night without all knowing you let it happen.... so you mustn't!
So that airplane will just have to sit tight, 'til some real and right things are done to it to make it fit to fly. No BS.
CGZMT,
You might get crapped on if you let it be known that you mentioned anything here... I'd keep that mum if I were you.... but thanks.... We all know TC folks are visiting this site.... they cannot let it go now (even if they might have before now, which I'm thinking is unlikely). And that's a damn good thing!
flyinhigh,
What probably should be done to get that thing flying now is a complete inspection by TC inspectors and/or (perhaps?) their delegates, and satisfactory rectification of all snags that would render it unairworthy. It may well be that it's current owners would be unprepared to pay for that, because there are likely to be numerous such defects.... Maybe they'll be applying for a ferry permit? ....in which case, I don't know the rules, and I suspect they're made up for each circumstance as it comes.... I'm hoping in this case, that with so much attention being brought to the beast's probable condition, that TC will be certain to insist on reasonable standards being met.
The AMM would tell us to find each hydraulic leak and determine the leak rate in terms of number of drops per minute... then, each component that exceeded the maximum permissible leak rate would have to be replaced.
The tires have all dropped below their minimum pressure to allow recharging, so they all need to be replaced.... and that's just what we can glean from a few short posts here from a non AME....

It sounds very much like allowing it to fly without serious attention would put anyone in it's flight path at risk (not to mention the would-be crew), that suspicion alone should be worth serious scrutiny and effective preventative steps being taken.
A 47 is a big machine that's capable of doing a lot of harm...
I'll bet the owners will give up....
Beer cans.
Isn't there some beer company rooted in Thunder Bay?
....my opinion only.
