Looks good on the pay side. Crazy that 3rd year FOs are making as much as new Canadian captains.

Multiply the numbers on the chart by 1.149 to get equivalent hourly wage for any given YOS. So 1st year cpt is 334/h while top rate is 364.52/h. First year FO is 133.75/h and top rate 255/h.

Would sure be nice if some that corporate generosity would make it up here, oh wait, we don’t do the same work, right? At least that’s what the gaslighters would have us think.

Solution is - divorces are affordable. Make sure the divorce is complete on the Canadian salary. It's time to go down and hook up, get married and fly for a major.

Aye carumba lol

Do we fly to the same airports as Southwest Airline, don’t bother answering it was rhetorical.
AC funnels American passengers to the hubs and on to points elsewhere at a huge discount, different markets my ass!

You're absolutely correct!

SW Year 1 FO $116 USD = $156 CAD
Flair Year 3 Capt = $158.82

A year 1 FO makes $2.82 LESS than an year 3 captain. So sorry for my inaccuracy!

Now lets compare what these two employees get to keep after STD, LTD, medical/dental, retirement savings/401k, mortgage payments and of course taxes.

And really, the fact that you are able to compare a first year FO to any level of Captain is shameful.

The every second letter uppercase should have been a dead giveaway.

But yea, same airports, like you said. And still getting slam dunked like southwest. Maybe they save money on the taxi in doing 42 kts.

Southwest pays pilots per trip. As a result, you need to multiply those rates by 1.149 to determine the hourly rate.

So year 1 FO is actually $133.75 US per hour which is $173.88 CAD.

Sorry to make it worse.

And a year two WN FO makes more than a year 6 WestJet Captain. What's you point? Wages in Canada are shameful. We all agree already, but thanks for shitting on my company instead of yours.
