Jazz minimum call out time.....

Post by Harry Bagina »

Im hearing it's a 2 hour call out time on reserve, and then 1 hour for flight prep. Does that sound familiar to anyone? Is reserve status being phased out? Thats the rumour.

Thanks from the Harry Bagina.

Bottom 20 guys on CRJ YYZ are on reserve. It is rumoured that eventually the working day off will replace the reserve system.

Can you explain how the "working day off" system works?

Talk to a westjetter

Basically OT covering what reserve used to cover. It's a management dream but reserve will never disappear because the left seat at Jazz pays enuf to not answer the phone at 3AM.

As well management at AC and Jazz are too ignorant and abusive for the pilot group to bail them out all the time!!!! There were lots of volunteers when they upped WDO's to double time but when it went back to 1.5x thwe volunteer list dropped by 75%!!!!

Management gets the union they deserve!!!!!

Double time to work a day off is a great incentive IMHO. Preferable to reserve system although I suppose I can't really say as I've never actually been through it. Extra money would be nice though.
