Who do they hire to write these ads? This is not a job offer at Google. It’s a blue collar job that requires a decent human being to make good decisions. Pay is North of whatever 99% of these weirdos are paying. I always am still amazed by the hilarity of this creepy business even after totally abandoning it several years ago. What a bloody joke!

I often wonder myself what training background these posters have.

Positive it's not actual aviation maintenance, and am also confident it originates at some "higher" education institution. The confidence/arrogance that has to be present when creating/posting that kind of crap over and over speaks volumes of the mindset.

The candidate theyre looking has failed to respond to their masterpiece of HR babble, but they continue to try to sell it unchanged.

Only arrogance with delusion will drive this sort of behaviour and they are not the only ones in Canadian aviation like this.

They claimed to be "authentic" when the job ad is pure PR and manipulative! None of these are new to me! In our society, this is common! Don't be surprised! I remember back when I was in Aviation, publications took pictures/videos of us learning and working and we were told to look and act as professional and positive/happy as we could, and this is what they will publicize to promote what is an out of touch impression of the industry that they skewed. Almost all (if not all) news outlets such as Citytv are fake! They wanted to make you see what they want you to see and not the reality! The thing is, they will continue to lie even when they already know that you know they are lying to you! This ad is bull sh*t and it's nothing new! How hypocritical of them to say that they are "authentic" when they just lied and we all know it!

"What goes around comes around!" If you continue to uphold these kind of deceptive practices as "normal", nothing will change systemically! Unfortunately a lot of people will just shut their mouth because they think they are powerless. When you place people in a competitive free market, this kind of behavior comes out naturally. Bull sh*t like this is common and just don't believe it!

Authentic? LMFAO! I wasn't born yesterday!

For what it’s worth, on the pilot side of things I’ve heard they’re a pretty decent outfit to work for.

However, while I don’t disagree with some of the comments regarding the job ad, does it surprise you? It’s an alcohol distribution company - the marketing “experience” in the booze business is second to none! They’re not selling you a drink, they’re selling you an experience so that you’ll pay a ridiculous mark-up on the drink.

Pretty bad when a company offers 500 a day in 2023 in camp. Same wage offered 10 years ago.

So they are offering, if you were doing 40 hours a week/50 weeks a year, just over $34 bucks an hour starting wage.

https://ca.indeed.com/jobs?q=aircraft+m ... deedmobile

You can use your imagination if thats enough to be at anybody's beck and call, as per their ad criteria.

Shocking they cant land a sucker after months of trying...

I just read their add. This is for an AME? Holly crap who wrote this garbage. Probably some University type who has never had a real job in their life. Someone should read this at the next AME ass. meeting, should get a lot of laughs.

Yep.

An AME with preferred m1,m2 and fling wing experience, has to help groom the aircraft, work irregular hours as required and be on call as required, just to skim through the highlights of their ad.

Its beyond phuking ridiculous, its delusional. They have been running that ad for months on different sites and reposted 3 times here in 2 weeks.

What’s up with Rise Air? It seems they dedicate many many lines of their ad to what you will be doing for them including vacuuming the office and putting staples in the stapler, ensuring that you understand that you live, work and play on land that you stole but not one blurb about what they will do for you. I am confused is it a volunteer/reconciliation position?

They must have no trouble finding candidates, as they won't even consider your application if you email it to them...

As an AvCanada discussion grows longer:
-the probability of 'entitlement' being mentioned, approaches 1
-one will be accused of using bad airmanship

I totally agree with your post.

That is probably one of, if not the worst, ad I've ever seen for an AME.

Maybe they should take their maintenance to the reserves

Mark Anthony Group’s ad on indeed.com shows this pays “from $69,000”. On call, full time, plus what the job says.

KF Aerospace is advertising for apprentices on the same page starting at $32.13/hour, full time, weekends as needed.

40hrs/week = 2,080 hrs per year. KF’s apprentices working full time would be looking at $66,830/year

MAG @ $69,000 = $33.17/hr assuming 2080 hrs per year

Five months since this begining of the post, and still no takers, lol.

They will now help you relocate to the land of working poor though, and their $34 a/hr will definetely qualify you for that.

Funny thing is there is like 1800 views on this thread, which in a backhanded sort of way gave MAG more exposure for their shit offer.
I'll low ball and say that in total, there's around 600 people(1/3 of the total) give or take, that are probably the actual number of individuals who viewed this thread.

Out of that number, from this thread alone, they are unable to land anyone. Don't forget they have been advertising on avcanada, linkedin, and indeed and god knows where else for about a year.
