To catch a predator?
Why on earth does the following job ad give me shivers?
250 TT requirement, way far away from the GTA/YOW/YUL/YYC and et al…
Promissory note for a non type rated position?
Okay, I still remember (dare I say with foundness?)
Countless visits to the EI office and long road trips to get my next gig after a lay off in the industry… NEVER signed a bond and that was 21 years ago…
2024 called…..
Surely I can’t be the only one appalled by this ad

Other than what I’ve written above…

Re: To catch a predator?
But this job pays starting wage at Amazon warehouse, and only a couple an hour less than a McDonald's manager in the states! Worth the drive to check it out!
I think the deal is the further north you go the less you are worth. "I promise to work for you for social credits and positive reviews or else I owe you the cost of my training - justacanadian"
We The North!

Doesn’t seem to bad back in my day you needed 2000 hours just to work for expired old Dutch chips

You think La Ronge is far North? Really? Have you ever lived out of your city of birth?

Read the rest of the ad, it also appears to be an internal posting:
“The following full time position is open for qualified employees of Transwest Air, Snowbird Aviation Services and West Wind Aviation to apply for in our La Ronge Location“
When you go to the and on their hiring page, it also says that the FO gets a medevac shift premium of an extra $50/shift, are they using the twin otter for medevacs?
They also have a captain ad for a beaver position with this one that’s dated 2017 on this forum, is this lack of attention to details just a company norm?

It’s all relative. Someone in Grise Fjord is saying the same thing about where you think far north is.
