Moncton Flight College or Gander Flight Training?
Hi,
I am 25 Y/O and complimenting a career change to becoming a pilot. Because i'm not fresh out of highschool, I'm looking to put my head down and get my CPL as fast as I can, while also limiting my debt where possible.
Would you suggest the ICPC program at Moncton Flight College (PL,CL,Multi/IFR) in supposedly 52 weeks OR putting my head down at a training club such as Gander Flight Training banging it out that way.
Appreciate any insight.

If you want to get this done ASAP, you need to ask their schools and a potential instructor about availability. Some schools will not accommodate you for more than x flights in a week. You should be looking at flying 1 flight a day, 5 days a week. Bad weather days are your study days.

These schools may not be the best when it comes to the Winter months, have you considered Cornwall? I am guessing you will get it done a lot quicker there.

From what I have seen people finish the ICPC program in Moncton in a little over a year (12-16 months) where as the average person in Gander takes over 2 years

ICPC is a good program. Unless the rules have changed since I left you can do up to 3 flights a day with 1 day off required per week. Your primary instructor can put you on a pick-up sheet on their days off. Generally you don't need to rush too much anyway since the ground school is structured around the 1-year program, but it's pretty easy to get a lot of flying in when the weather's good if you're well prepared and your instructor is up for it.

ICPC at MFC is doable in 1 year if you are motivated and don't fall behind. Highly recommend.

Recommend Moncton Flight College over any school in Canada any day. Highly efficient and highly professional flight training. You just have to be as motivated as the school is, in getting yourself finished in time.EastCoastAvStudent wrote: ↑Fri Apr 26, 2024 9:41 am Hi,

How does MFC compare to the Brampton iATPL? What's the wash-out rate? It's not for me, but I'm asking for somebody else and genuinely curious
