KFC

Post by Pat Richard »

So I'll preface this with a "attaboy" for posting the wages, but a couple of things...

LAUNCH YOUR CAREER

Transport Canada Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (with at least 5 years of experience once licensed) earn an hourly wage starting at $37.68 up to $41.62. In addition, there is room to grow into Senior AME and Shift Lead roles.

Unlicensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers with 10 years of relevant experience OR a foreign license and 7 years of relevant experience earn an hourly wage of $36.00.
A license is worth a $1.68 more than a unlicensed guy and the payscale range for an AME is $4 a/hr???

the sky's the limit

10 years ago that was the wage any reasonable AME might get out of bed for. Sad.

They are least ten years behind the curve in terms of wages. The geniuses in management are still picky with whatever resume makes it there and they still think there is a untapped resource that will solve their manpower problems.

Old arrogance dies hard, particularly in that place.

The sad news is they have brought in a boat load of Mexicans whose wages are being subsidized by the Fed government(Cdn taxpayer)

Info from the floor is that the ratio is 1/5 that are of any use, but hey, who gives a shit when over half the wage is being footed by Turdeau.

What program are they using to have wages subsidized by the federal government?

As an AvCanada discussion grows longer:
-the probability of 'entitlement' being mentioned, approaches 1
-one will be accused of using bad airmanship
