Re: Canada Jetlines Ceases operations....
Well, their entire C-suite resigned today and they announced they need emergency funding to continue operations, so that's probably that. Sucks.
As an aside; With little pomp and circumstance, the Fed just announced that the Competition Bureau has started a major, year-long, deep study into the aviation industry in Canada, with mind-boggingly oblivious bullet points like "Domestic airfare seems higher than it should be." Wow.
It'll conclude in June 2024. So if there's any silver lining, this will certainly add fuel to the fire, and might put a few more eyes on the situation.
Sorry to our collegues there, hope you guys can find something soon, that's awful.

More than 1. That’s all that matters.
I mean that respectfully. Not selfishly.

No doubt you and colleagues will land on your feet as I bet other airlines would love to have you.
Best of luck.

A few of you supposedly harmoniously supporting workers rights , instead of supporting each other, remind me of Fred Hahn.
As in not very nice, to put it mildly.
Try supporting each other when stuff like this happens.

I've been flying for 34 years now in 6 continents and based in over 15 countries. The one constant though out that time, is no matter the licence or position, 90% of pilots are willing to step on someone else's neck to get ahead.rookiepilot wrote: ↑Sat Aug 17, 2024 1:59 pm A few of you supposedly harmoniously supporting workers rights , instead of supporting each other, remind me of Fred Hahn.

Off topic but this reminds me of someone I worked with who knew French, every time she'd tell someone something in english they'd insist on replying in French lmaocdnavater wrote: ↑Sat Aug 17, 2024 4:52 amTranslation;TeePeeCreeper wrote: ↑Sat Aug 17, 2024 1:30 amTu viens de rabaisser tes confrères avec un commentaire de calves.
