Weight an Balance Queston for AVCANADA

Post by Tholl »

Just a quick question... I'm doing an question on a W&B on a super king air....Just need someone to explain what the LMAC figure is for the %MAC formula. Thanks guys!

%MAC= (ARM"-LMAC/MAC")*100

CG is 179"
MAC is from 160" to 240" AFT of the Datum, whats the CG in terms of %MAC?

And the main reason I wanted to post this was to know if this question could be something I see on the commercial exam?
Thanks

MAC = (CG - LEMAC)/(TEMAC-LEMAC)*100%

MAC = (179-160)/(240-160)*100%

MAC = 23.75%

MAC= Mean aerodynamic chord
LEMAC = leading edge MAC
TEMAC = Trailing Edge MAC

It's better to break ground and head into the wind than to break wind and head into the ground.

Might be a question more on the ATPL or IATRA than the commercial

Good chance it will be on the SARON. Not asked on the CPAER.

Study that one cold young grasshopper. We ALWAYS do a %MAC calculation on the super King Air before going flying where I work. :D
