Who to use as a job reference at AC?
Would an MLO be the appropriate person to handle employee reference requests?

I would assume an MLO or your type chief pilot would be ok. Maybe give them a call and ask if they'd be ok with being listed as one.

Unless you are personal friends with a pilot manager and they know you well, all they will say is, "Capt X worked at air canada from 2012-2024."
They will not comment on anything else...otherwise they may get into trouble. So in the end, it's not much of an endorsement if that's what you're looking for.
