Everyone knows the Robinson R22 is the most popular most economical trainer right?
I'm amazed at the number of low time helicopter pilots who have never flown a Rotorway.
Do you also know that there are more registered Rotorway helicopters than R22s?
There are very large differences in the cost of flying an Amateur Built privately owned
and maintained Rotorway 162F compared to
a commercially maintained and insured aeroplane or helicopter.
Most newly minted Commercial Helicopter pilots know that the odds of getting a first job
with less than 1000 hours is getting increasingly difficult when customers dictate minimum
experience levels to employers. Every 100 hours PIC hours makes a quantum increase in
the probability of getting that first job in a helicopter.
The only economical way of gaining significant hours is an amateur build Rotorway.
My view is that the Rotorway is very responsible machine that has very responsive
and a delight to fly. My view is that it feels like you are flying a Ferrari.
Becoming even a fractional part owner of a Rotorway is a very economical method of rapidly
gaining extra PIC hours.
In Canada every type of helicopter requires a type rating. If you would like to
get your Rotorway type rating or build hours in a Rotorway or become a part owner
in a Rotorway email CFICYWG@Gmail.com or call ne on 204 979 3203
