At least 3 months, if you have one already keep using it, the exemption will go on for a long time probably, if you don't ask them for a temp

One caveat to using the exemption. If you go to another country you may be asked to present a valid pilot license. Since the book will show as expired you should also print a copy of the exemption to prove that the license is still valid.

Mine just showed up after over 4 months. The quality is horrendous. It looks like a crappy fake.

Wow that's long. My foreign license conversion process is going on now and my flight test is coming soon. I finished everything from my side quite fast and it would a shame if I can't start applying for jobs just because of a processing delay from TC.

ask for a temp once it is processed so you don't have to wait however many months

If something like that exists that would be incredibly helpful. Any idea who to talk to regarding that or how to obtain it? Considering all correspondence with TC nowadays is through mail unless writing an exam. I can't find much online regarding temporary licenses

I applied for my ATPL in late May, it got accepted September 10th, and got the ADB in mail a month afterwards.
