The problem is that it's illegal to run a site like this in Canada, so they have to be based in the US or risk getting shut down. You can listen to whatever you want on a scanner, but you can't rebroadcast it. So YVR shouldn't be a problem, but don't count on getting too many canadian airports.

Oh? Where does it say that?

You certainly can't rebroadcast personal conversations, or divulge anything of a private nature, including business conference calls you may happen to run across on a scanner. But for a scanner to be legal in Canada it shouldn't have that ability anyway.

It's illegal in Britain to broadcast what is received on a scanner, but not in Canada. If you were profiting in some way, well, you might have an argument there, but I'd sure like to see where it says it's illegal.

You may be correct, but I looked, and couldn't find a thing.
