what other job could get in as a bsc aviation degree holder
Hi, I just want to ask you that I am doing bsc aviation degree in Canada. Please tell me that other than pilot what other job could get in as a bsc aviation degree holder
Re: what other job could get in as a bsc aviation degree holder
Disclaimer: I've had a few positions around the industry, including a pilot seat. Flying was the easiest aviation job I ever had (most fun, but biggest lifestyle sacrifice).
There are dozens of people on the ground for every aircraft you see in the air.
Airplanes typically don't run on fuel. They run on paperwork. If you don't believe that, just remove a CofA and see if the aircraft can go anywhere....or land somewhere without customs paperwork and see if they let you keep the aircraft. I'm being hyperbolic, buy hopefully you get the point.
Remove the technical jobs (maintenance, dispatch etc.) and the general labour (ground handling etc. <<all the power to you if that's where you are. Those jobs are not easy)......and that still leaves a myriad of administrative and management positions at any air carrier, or aviation-related organization whose jobs are to coordinate people, resources, passengers, cargo or capital to keep the airplanes moving.
Many of those positions are (or can be) very interesting and allow you to see and experience things the average passenger (or even pilots) will never see.
Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Security, Network Planning/Forecasting, HR, Training, Safety, plus administration for all of the technical positions: Maintenance coordination, Crew Scheduling, SOC, Overseeing ground ops (above the wing / below the wing) etc etc.
There is A LOT that has to happen before the pilots walk down a jetway, or across the apron to board an aircraft.
My only ask is that, if you end up on one of those positions, never forget who you're there to serve (whoever it may be). Our industry suffers from too many benchwarmers sitting in roles where they have the power and means to make the industry better, but never actually put in the work....or even care. If you get in, please try to do a good job.

Apply to be the CEO of the Toronto international airport, the worst managed airport in the world, the current CEO Deborah Flint gets paid millions of dollars to do a lousy job. Maybe you can do better,
Don't let your wife talk you out of buying an airplane,

Starbucks barista, Walmart greeter, rampie, MacDonald’s crew.
Learning to be aircrew was barely worthy of the 2 year college program that Sault and Seneca used to offer. Turning it into a degree is a farce. The whole exercise is a money grab by universities.
