I accepted AC offer and went to GS without leaving my old company. And as I didn't get the WB I resigned and continued with my old company.
Will there be any repercussions?

Knowing the personality who's doing the hiring at Porter on the E2, if th OP were really in this situation, then the hiring team upon discovering the real story would likely laugh, then decline their application.Me262 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 14, 2024 12:01 pmYou're supposed to say he can join Porter
'get caught' implies they did something wrong. Fielding multiple offers is hardly something to 'get caught' on. The same for leaving a job that didn't turn out the way you wanted it.cjp wrote: ↑Thu Nov 14, 2024 1:30 pmKnowing the personality who's doing the hiring at Porter on the E2, if th OP were really in this situation, then the hiring team upon discovering the real story would likely laugh, then decline their application.
That said, I'm sure it's happened before where people have taken our offer and another carriers to double salary or something or push off making a decision, who knows. I imagine due to documentation, people usually get caught pretty quick nowadays.
I don’t see the big deal really, didn’t cost Air Canada anything at this point, no real training had occurred, I just don’t understand the logic!digits_ wrote: ↑Thu Nov 14, 2024 2:33 pm'get caught' implies they did something wrong. Oh agreed, seems unlikely they would forget that. If the concern or the mistake is that they blew up the bridges to an AC career, then yes, that likely happened. Although stranger things have happened. Things change quickly.
Working at two different operators at the same time usually contravenes employment contracts, unless specifically approved prior.digits_ wrote: ↑Thu Nov 14, 2024 2:33 pm'get caught' implies they did something wrong. You are unhappy in the role you have. So why stay? The company will not magically change. Your role will not get better. If you are interviewing know that you have to be willing to leave on good terms and move forward in your career.PittBoss wrote: ↑Thu Nov 14, 2024 1:30 am So I did this stupid mistake and don't know if I will get in trouble.

This! I don't see how it matters if OP's story is real. Regardless the whole point is to speculate on a scenario OTHER people might end up in the futurecjp wrote: ↑Thu Nov 14, 2024 5:51 pmWorking at two different operators at the same time usually contravenes employment contracts, unless specifically approved prior.digits_ wrote: ↑Thu Nov 14, 2024 2:33 pm'get caught' implies they did something wrong. That said, the OP is having a bit of a laugh, I was delving into the hypothetical.
