Firing offence?
Apparently, someone higher up in the union was let go last week, as they posted a poem mildly critical of a senior staff member?
Anyone got a copy of the offending poem? Inquiring minds, and all that.

Re: Firing offence?
I don’t have it but have I heard it. It was just a “Twas the night before Christmas” thing that poked fun at a managers reluctantance to fly over Christmas. Didn’t even name Flair explicitly.
Not even close to holding up in a labor arbitration as grounds for termination. And being a union executive, it will probably be seen as union intimidation (which it likely is) which sets the bar even higher for Flair. I can’t imagine why management are pursuing this but once their lawyers see it, I would expect it won’t come to much. Certainly ALPA’s lawyers aren’t going to skimp on resources fighting this. Flair have WAY bigger problems than this right now, they should be concentrating their efforts elsewhere.

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through Flair.
Not a management pilot could be found, close to any captain's chair.
The head office staff were at home all snug in their beds.
While visions of bonus cheques danced in their heads.
Add to the poem.

The crew showed up to fly,
Wanting to be in the sky.
But their airplane wasn’t there,
Everything is up in the air

Had just settled down for a short reserve nap.
When over at the airport there arose such a clatter.
I called the chief pilot to see what was the matter.
