I like it, get rid of the Canadian peso! Lainchpad1 for Prime Minister, vote for Launchpad1!
Hahaha I appreciate your nomination but I'm to honest to be a politician.
Eurozone is already imploding. It’s only a matter of time. Borders in the Schengen area are getting more restrictive and If you don’t fall in line with migration policies you get fined. Furthermore if Ukraine gets membership the Union will be forced into a war and the economic situation will get substantially worse by taking on that populous. I would much rather have one United States where I could go escape to if my home town becomes a dumping ground for “sanctuary” like conditions of all sorts.
The problem with the EU and the Eurozone is that they expanded to far and brought together to many disparate economies. If the EU had just stopped at Western Europe it would have been far more successful in my opinion. The US and Canada are two developed economies with a common language. The common language part is very important for success. That makes it much more doable. The US is so successful because someone from Alabama has no language difference if they want to move to Washington State (for example) for work. The same can not be said for someone from Poland moving to Spain (for example).

Not only did the EU have no common language but the large difference between the economies of western and eastern Europe doesn't help. The fact though that it has managed to 'kind of work' shows how successful an economic union between the US and Canada could be.

Haha. TRUDEAU Derangement Syndrome is alive and well.
Yeah.. I can’t wait for a dollar back in the toilet again, legislated back to work, TFWs, a roller coaster oil economy, borrow and spend, and for us to follow the US into more jingoistic invasions the blowback of which literally had our last PM hiding in a closet.
Remember this headline folks.....

We need a economic crash. 25% of our economy is government jobs, another 25% is flipping real estate and 15% is immigration scams. Plus the Boomer dead wood will be quiet when their pensions and investments disappear overnight.

I hope he tariffs us into the next century. Carney is a big time WEF member so he would be worse than Fidel Jr. by a long shot.
Then under emergency provisions, an election does not need to be called until 2026.
They've decided to turn on the money printer again to bailout businesses and workers affected by tariffs. Inflation is going to go up at an even higher rate. Anything to prevent the collapse of the house prices though.
Just let all crash. You can even blame it on Trump so you feel better!

Exactly what they plan.
If I was playing hardball, I’d threaten to close Canadas airspace to US carriers. Whats the legal position on that?
Trudeau said he will step in to help Canadians. He will save us.
Rather than build a robust economy, meet our NATO military obligations etc, all the good things that would actually be great for Canadians... We shall do CERB 2.0, print that funny monies for all Canadians. Now please freeze some bank accounts and call a state of emergency for trump man bad.
So sad to see how Canada positions itself on the global stage.

Does trump strike you as an honest man? The only reason he said borders were the issue is that he can bypass congress and claim national security.
I actually didn’t think this was gonna happen, now I think it might. Both sides digging in and Trump may be using Canada as an example to the ROW he means business. Also opens the door for Liberals to maintain power through to fall 2026.

Look it up.
Fucking up in every measure of national governance isn't grounds to evoke emergency and hold into power.
The sooner the Liberals are out, the sooner Canada can help itself.
Our survival depends on it. The West will go if we didn't round the corner and soon.

It is if they say it is, with an incredibly weak GG and a prostitute (Singh) holding onto power. Look up the statute.
And yes, I am worried, I have been yelling till blue in the face about the worlds weak leadership. This is the inevitable outcome.

Maybe that's why Trudeau will engage this way. Keep liberals in power two more years. He has been known to do what's best for himself not the country.
What would the cons do differently? Back when nafta was being renegotiated minus supply management they basically said we should concede on on their demands, and guess what we got a much better deal than they (PP) expected.
Recent history has shown that it’s the Conservative who hold on to power by dubious means.. not Liberals (Harper twice proroguing Parliament in the face of non-confidence votes and being found in Contempt of Parliament, Jan 6 after being openly encouraged to riot by a sitting president).
It’s funny how everything people blame liberals for suddenly becomes ok when conservatives are in power.

With the polls skewed as badly as they are now, but the exact opposite situation?

It was always going to happen. It was a Trump election promise to those intellectuals of the Rustbelt states who believe he is capable of bringing back manufacturing jobs (he's not, he's just the President).
He used the excuse of national security because that is the only way around USMCA and Congress.
Watching the half-wittery of premiers sending conservation officers and highway traffic cops to do "border security" is hilarious.

My question on this, when did it become the responsibility of Canada to secure the border for the US and prevent southbound traffic from entering the USA ?
Folks buying into that are falling for the rhetoric of a con man telling his minions that we should be preventing folks from entering the US because they aren't capable of doing it themselves.
Like it or not, tariffs are coming because your average American voter was conned into thinking 'China pays the tariff', and it wont effect their cost at the till, and at the same time, they think deporting all the folks picking fruits and vegetables will bring down the price of groceries.
