Hi everyone,
So, I have recently had my medical renewed after having it revoked about 5 years ago. I am very greatful to have my medical back and to be in a lot better health (for reference, I was diagnosed withtype 2 diabetes). That being said, I am not sure what option(s)/path might be best to help accomplish my goals(I would love to work in the 703/704/705 world YVR based in the next few years). That being said, I currently have just over 800 hrs(mostly instructing) with an expired Group 1, Class 4 FI and would need to complete training to get back up to speed. I have a budget of around 20,000 to spend to get back up to speed, and I am a little unsure of what path would make the most sense to get back to an employable state and any advice in todays job market. Thanks for any advice!
Advice for a low time (800hr) pilot who wants to return after medical break in flying.

If you enjoyed instructing, go and renew your Class 4, spend some time getting back into it and upgrade to class 3(its fairly easy as long you care about your job). Then renew your Group 1 with the school's a/c or sim (hopefully with a staff discount) then decide from there.
If you did not like instructing there is pipeline or skydive jobs that should open up in the spring, not sure that a 703/4/5 will hire you with only a renewed group 1 but you can always try.
