Telemedical PilotMD
Has anyone used PilotMd Dr.Daniel for a telemedical renewal?
If so, how is he for a telemedical renewal?

Re: Telemedical PilotMD
Quite simple and straightforward. When you book an appointment you'll have a big questionnaire to answer but on the date, log in, he asks some generic yes or no questions, 10 minutes later issues your medical.

How does it work with EKGs and pee in a cup stuff?StrayPilot wrote: ↑Sun Feb 23, 2025 9:11 am Quite simple and straightforward. As an AvCanada discussion grows longer:
-the probability of 'entitlement' being mentioned, approaches 1
-one will be accused of using bad airmanship

Re: Telemedical PilotMD
It's a moot point as the telemedical exemption from TC is about to expire.

Apparently those are not necessary for renewal as long you're eligible for telemedicine (ie. either one of your last two medical renewals were done in-person).digits_ wrote: ↑Sun Feb 23, 2025 10:08 amHow does it work with EKGs and pee in a cup stuff?StrayPilot wrote: ↑Sun Feb 23, 2025 9:11 am Quite simple and straightforward. But I did see a requisition form available for download in their website which will let you do the EKG and lab tests and the results go directly to them. My renewal didn't require anything other than the video call though.

Re: Telemedical PilotMD
It's strange because I remember when it first came that it was plastered everywhere that the exemption ends on March 2025. But now I cannot find that expiry date written anywhere in the TC website. Would it be possible that they're making it a regular thing to allow two renewals by telemedicine?

I wish they were but I don’t think so having received a couple of memos about this exemption expiring Mar 2025StrayPilot wrote: ↑Sun Feb 23, 2025 5:43 pmIt's strange because I remember when it first came that it was plastered everywhere that the exemption ends on March 2025. Unless the exemption gets renewed, it appears to expire on March 3, 2025.

Re: Telemedical PilotMD
Sounds like it has been renewed until March 2030!
All the best,

Do you have a link to the revised exemption Teepee? I combed through the exemptions and didn’t see a revision for 2030.

Re: Telemedical PilotMD
Right on, thanks for the heads up. Looks like it will only be good every other year, which seems like a fair compromise

The renewal is only valid for a year. When I look at pilotmd.ca, the cost is the same as in-person medicals. It says that ECGs aren't required for telemedicine. But how does that work if your ECG is overdue?
