Hello,
I gave Cat 1 medicals a month ago and my CAME provided a letter stating that I am fit for Cat 1 and he recommends a Cat 1 be issued..

I filled up TC form to check for status updates and I got an email response back..

“Hello,

Thank you for contacting Transport Canada.

Transport Canada has received your application for an aviation medical certificate. However, further review or more information is required before a decision can be made. You will be notified by email if you need to take further action or provide us with more information. Please avoid making any further requests while you wait for us to contact you, as this will cause processing delays.”

Is this a generic response that TC sends back to inquires or does this mean that my medical has been deferred for further review ?

Is your BMI below 35? I ask because a friend of mine had the same issue where he was cleared initially and then TC took their time to get back to him. A month and half later they sent a letter asking for follow up blood tests and sleep apnea tests.
