Porter picus

Hey, I know Porter has a picus program, I’m just wondering if they do it a lot or is it more of a last resort kind of thing when they’re short? Like they have it but they might not get everyone into the program asap.

PICUS is left open for the FO to apply to the program, not forced on anyone.

FO needs 300 hours on type
FO then applies to Flight Ops Management for approval
Approval is given after a thorough review of the FO's training file and interview

FO now has PICUS log and approval letter
FO submits documentation to Line Captain
Line Captain, voluntary accepts to conduct PICUS, or to decline
Line Captain signs log to indicate that PICUS was done in regards to the FOM
If FO doesn't comply with duties (as a Captain) outlined in FOM, and/or has poor attitude or poor decision making skills, the log isn't signed

I don’t think PICUS is being conducted on the E2. Only the dash.

It’s 100% offered on the E2 as well
