Marvel Miracle Oil

Post by Blakey »

I've been reading quite a bit about this product the last little while and it seems that's it's a bit hard to come by in Canada. Firstly, why is it not a popular thing to stock? It seems to be in demand.

Secondly, where can I get some in Southern Ontario? Does anyone ship it?

Marvel Mystery Oil is available at Canadian Tire at least in Alberta. It's sold in a red 1 litre bottle I believe.

We get ours from Leavens. If you try and get it from somebody who doesn't know what it is, they think its a joke. Next time you're at Cdn Tire ask them if they sell Mouse Milk and watch the reaction you get. Aviall sells both products. Cheers!

I checked withg the supplier about a year ago when Cdn Tire quit selling it. Apparently they had 1 year to sell it in the same format as it is sold in the US, and after the year is up they have to have bilingual packaging. The volume sold in Canada didn't justify cost to change the packaging.

I now buy mine in 1 gallon jugs when I go across to Michigan on business trips. No problems with valves sticking in the Stinson since I stated using it!

I've bought it from different industrial supply stores. Greggs in Alberta or TS&M or National Oil well in Sask.

What sort of results do you guys notice by using this stuff? I have had lead problems with using 100LL in my C85 engine (no mixture control) So you can get it at Leavens or Aviall?

Marvel Mystery Oil. This stuff is the $#%. Have you ever seen this stuff. It comes in a container that says Marvel Myster Oil and that's all. No MSDS no warnings, instructions or anything. But it's good stuff. You doing a compression check and get a dead jug with ring blowby (oil filler, crankcase breather) thow some MMO in the spark plug hole and turn over the prop a few times. Retest and I bet you're O.K.

I buy it by the case evertime I am in the states because I can't find it around my area anymore. I burn mogas in my O320 and all the guys invovled with the STC recommend it. 2 ounces per 22 litres of fuel. Works great!

I couldn't find Marvel Mystery Oil, so I started using the Amsoil Saber Pro 100:1 Oil, works great, burns clean. Still not easy to find, but its out there.
