[b]JOB OVERVIEW[/b]

An exciting opportunity to join a team of dedicated and experienced professionals is now available! Our Southport facility supports Grob G120A and C-90 King Air aircraft and are currently searching for a Fixed Wing Crew Chief to lead a team of highly skilled professionals. Ans an experienced, competent, and Transport Canada licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME- M), the Crew Chief is responsible for performing maintenance in a safe and efficient manner, providing a high level of quality work and customer service of company aircraft that are used for flight training. The Crew Chief will distribute, oversee, and direct work for other AMEs, as well as solve technical issues. They are expected to demonstrate a high level of technical proficiency, professionalism and safety in performing the following tasks:
[list]Identify, obtain, use, and test appropriate tools for the jobs required
Complete daily inspections
Operate all ground equipment
Remove and install flight controls, engine components, propellers, landing gear, and tires
Functional operation of the aircraft and ability to perform run-ups
Perform rigging of engine and flight controls
Perform non-critical systems checks (i.e. oxygen, fuel)
Use trouble-shooting skills and information from customers to identify and locate problems
Apply a thorough understanding of systems: air-conditioning, hydraulics, engines, flight controls, landing gear, avionics, electrical generation, oxygen, fuel and pneumatics
Ensure all aircraft maintenance is carried out in compliance with the Canadian Aviation Regulations Transport Canada rules and regulations, type specific manuals, and the KF Aerospace Policy and Procedures Manual so that continuing airworthiness of the aircraft is maintained[/list]
[b]REQUIREMENTS[/b]
[list]Valid Transport Canada AME –M License
Ability and willingness to attain type endorsement
Valid passport and driver’s license
Ability to travel (US and Canada)
Grade 12 education or higher
Ability to work rotational shifts including evenings and the occasional Saturday
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Works and Government Services Enhanced Reliability Clearance
Strong leadership skills
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Physically fit
Good oral and written communication skills
Basic computer skills and willingness to learn[/list]
