Stupid really.
The yard apes probably panicked..... jumping up and down probably told the captain his engine was on fire, so he blows the bottles and pops the slides. A little residual oil in the tailpipe burned for a few secs and now the plane is out of service for days.

Even if there was no evacuation and the captain followed the correct tailpipe fire checklists, I still would think the plane would be AOG for a few days. So not sure what you’re getting at.
