Integra Air?

Post by Slugger »

Can anybody tell me what is going on at Integra Air? Been trying to get some info, but pretty quiet. Are they still doing yvr with the 1900? How many pilots do they have? Are they hiring? Heard they had huge expansion plans, but can't find anything out.

Thanks all

I hear they are on the edge of tits up. Something about not having enough money to get new engines for there 100 and no 1900's. Heard they couldn't get a loan, or it fell through, or something. Don't quote me, this is just what I have been hearing.

Hey

They never had a 1900, chartered a Jetstream 32 for the YVR, YYJ, YXX run. That closed down a couple of months ago and they laid off a bunch of people. That run was a lode stone that dragged them down, they tried to hold on too long. Air Canada was doing YQL to YVR for $138 there was no way they could compete!
They are definitely not in good shape

Lethbridge is evidently not the cash money hotbed some thought it was. Regional1 lasted only a couple months, and now this bad news about Integra. Hope then can hang on, they seem like a decent company.

I lived in Lethbridge and area for 15 years and it is a GREAT retirement city, with warm weather and all the good shit but only one airline has been sucessful in that city and that was Time Air, simply because the founder, Stubb Ross, came from there. Even under Time Air, the Lethbridge portion was supported by the rest of the route schedule. The simple reason is that most people who live there, stay there. I have nothing bad to say about the citizens or the city, it is just the way it is. With a good climate, beautiful city, good road access, all the amenities of a big city without the maddening crowds, why leave?
Air lines have tried YQL - GTF, YQL - YVR, YQL - YQF - YVR etc. with little sucess. The only sucessful route has been the YQL - YYC - YXD route to connect YQL with the Provincial capital and major airlines out of YYC.
To airline out to a major destination, it is almost as quick to drive to Calgary as it is to fly, considering check-in, wait, hunt for lost luggage etc, and besides, my new Caddy is comfortable to drive. Lethbridge is a farming comunity and farmers stay close to home.

The average pilot, despite the somewhat swaggering exterior, is very much capable of such feelings as love, affection, intimacy and caring.
These feelings just don't involve anyone else.

They never got the loan for the 1900's. they where leasing BAR XH's jetstreams. Before I moved to YYC I was a YQLer, I have lots of friends in the little airport community that lethbridge has. I am always getting the goods about everyone and everything there.

On another note............I have friend who needed to get to Calgary, they where going to fly on CMA but instead they charted a limo for the same cost as the plane tickets. Ride in style!

CMA doesn't sell tickets in or out of YQL.
It's AC flight operated by CMA.

Dude, can it.
YYCtheplacetobe lived in YQL most of his life, and I worked there for 3-4 years. WE KNOW IT IS A AC FLIGHT, operated by CMA. Integra Air has NEVER had a 1900. They may have chartered or leased one for a few flights, but they have NEVER had one. Yes they leased a jetstream (wetdream) from Barxh for their YVR runs, they were to buy a 1900 but never did. I know there is a picture on their website and it says there were going to operate them, but that all fell through. They have released a statement saying all YVR runs are cancelled. they are going to continue with the 100 to edmonton for now. I don't know what their future intentions are.

Here is the thing about Lethbridge, the staff are Air Canada main line employee's, the run is a Jazz run, and the plane is a CMA 1900. Before CMA it was Sunwest in metro 23's, and before that it was a Air B.C. route operated buy Alberta City Link. Air B.C. would bring Dash 8's in sometimes aswell. When Alberta City Link was operating that route for Air B.C. Canadian Regional was using Dash 8-100's and 300's. Before that the YQL-YYC route was done by Dash 7's & 8's, twin otter's, F-28's, Shorts 360's, B-18's and I could go on with the rest of Time Air's fleet of aircraft over the years but I think you get the point WRX. When it comes to the Bridge I know my Airport history.

One more thing, Regional1 was doing pretty good in Lethbridge. They had good loads and the flight attendants where hot ;) I don't think they pulled out of the airline thing because of lethbridge, I would put money on it.

Ok ok ok

SORRY!

I was just telling what I saw... maybe they chartered it or something. I never said they had one.

Does anyone know if there's a maint who can handle the 1900 in YQL?

I heard something about CMA changing usual alternate for YYC to YXC for that reason.

cheers :P

Not that I am aware of. There is limited hanger space also because all the hangers are full. I know in the past, if there was a mx proplem they would drive CMA guys down from YYC to fix it, and/or send another aircraft for the flight. So, they may do that for that reason.

Sunwest didn't do the YQL route for AC. It was Alberta City Link before CMA. Sunwest flew for CRA to YXH and maybe the odd YQL, but most YQL flights were CRA DH8's.

dude I am KNOW that sunwest did the route to YQL. I work there, I know. That was before they painted them aswell they were white with the red strip across the aircraft. My old work has pictures of the metros in lethbridge. They bought C-GSHY & SHZ for the routes. I also know that is was a CRA contract route, the metro's came in during the midday

Where Are You Going?

Post by Slugger »

To all,

Thanks for the update about Integra. I do think that the topic has taken a tangent that has nothing to do with the original post.

ACL did do the Tier 3 into YQL with the Wetdream (I should know, I did it). Sunwest did the Tier 3 for CRA. It is all now CMA. The counter people, last I heard were Air BC/Jazz. Whatever you want to call them.

I was merely looking for info on Integra.

Thanks for all your posts. Fly safe and Merry Christmas
