Multi Engine + IFR training in Canada- Jet Pro
Has anyone completed their Multi+IFR Group 1 training at Jet Pro in Edmonton? If so what was your experience? Do you complete all the training and get certified through the school? I'm looking to complete my multi this year! Thanks!

Had a few students go through there for MIFR, only heard positive things. Looking at their hardware and instructors, can't expect any less. Free sim hours too which is fantastic.

Did my MEIFR with them, already multi rated. Excellent. Rates are extremely competitive considering the equipment you are flying (DA62 G1000NXi with FIKI and radar). This opens up doors to flying days you might lose to weather on lesser equipment.
Instructors are orders of magnitude more experienced than your typical flight school (all retired military instructors and airline pilots). Be ready for a more self driven learning experience though - if you want your hand held, this is not the place. They’ll expect you to know your stuff and arrive prepared (this is the Military way, not saying people don’t work hard and prepare on the civ side but you can be carried more at the cost of wasting your own time and money. They won’t carry you at Jetpro).
A couple downsides. I did my multi a long time ago on an old Seneca. There’s something to be said for that if you don’t have much experience with constant speed etc, as the DA62 is FADEC and single power lever. Makes the multi training simple and easy but you potentially miss out on some key stuff. It flies more like a FADEC turboprop than a typical piston twin.
Also they aren’t a designated educational institution with CRA, so you won’t get a T2201 for tax writeoff on training.
I highly recommend.

Yes — you complete all the flight training and the flight test through the school. They don’t “certify” you themselves (Transport Canada does that), but Jet Pro provides all the required training, recommends you for the flight test, and their in-house examiners or local DPEs conduct it. Once you pass the multi flight test and the Group 1 IFR flight test, those ratings get added to your licence just like at any other school.
