Update on other ALPA negotiations? Porter, PAL, Canadian North

Post by HFNav »

Any poster have updates on other ALPA negotiations?

Can they pattern bargain above Transat? Better financials

Continue the 100% deadheads and other increases?

Commuter benefits? Confirmed seat commuting?

PAL get rid of bonds?

Porter pilots take lower benefits for connecting passengers to Transat?

Canadian North with new owner? Will winter northern work pay less to Transat Caribbean trips?

What should they aim for? Post your ideas

Working on old 737 in the north should be above what Air Canada & Flair pilots get.

Porter ALPA has yet to really have any meaningful discussions with management regarding negotiations. We saw this coming though, particularly after the dispatchers.

Well, it isn’t, nor were we ever (realistically) expecting it to be.

The ATR pilots go back to the highest paid turboprop pilots in the country (we start basically at the top of every other payscale and Y12 on the ATR is $195K), and the 737 pilots are competitive (but lower) with WJ.

And Flair pilots go back to being the lowest paid 737 pilots in the country, except our year 1 and 2 FOs, but by year three they become the lowest paid in the country as well. I'm happy for everyone that has now made good gains in the full cycle of contract negotiations of our entire industry over the past 2 years. More work remains...

Did Flair ratify? I thought they were going to arbitration.

Not arbitration, conciliation. The government has a appointed a conciliator who will attempt to mediate between the union and management. That process is 60 days maximum.
