Oh come on bede…

And how are they doing on that front? Had the most favorable negotiation environment we will ever see and folded like an origami chicken before they even turned up the heat. Give credit where/when credit is due….
Lol Bede...we can't even get top Canadian working conditions. And dont get me started if the guys on our side even believe we can compare to Americans. Guess the answer...

And I fail to see the problem of holding reps to account. Its called accountability and to a healthy union means engagement. Also means pressure to perform.

These guys fumbled the ball on 2nd & goal from the 5 yard line. They did not earn the benefit of doubt. And this thread of paying themselves extra is disheartening to say the least.

Agree 100%. You should hold your reps to account. But bitching on an anonymous internet forum is not how it's done.

I believe that ALPA has adjusted policy on claiming alcohol as an expense and this may be a partial workaround
Again with the alcohol. $2000 a month is quite the party.
Exactly how much of my paycheque is going towards mean-drunk bullying away the one guy that could probably turn this ship around?

What did Air North achieve?
For one thing it looks like they got a monthly guarantee of 77.5 hrs a month.

Pretty sure AC guys dont even have one so you now are worse than broke leisure carriers & WJ. Aka industry worst.

Even at WJ we made some changes to our MEC & Negots. Sounds like you are going in with the same group. Good luck.

Not the same group.

New MEC executive.

1/2 the NC turned over.

Many new status reps. I think about 1/2 or 2/3 of them.

This is factually incorrect.

MEC Executive comprises of members that were all part of the last world class deal. It was just a game of musical chairs. I assume because they wanted to move up to the newly negotiated 90 hrs of pay / per diems bonus.

Negotiating Committee is all the same people except for the Chair who was swapped out for the P2P / "FACT" chair.

So I dont know which source Altiplano is referring to but he is factually incorrect. FACT.

Bring on negots 2027. With the same team. But somehow with different results. FACT.

This makes the 68 hrs month just that much more painful.

Have to give the company credit. Offered a pay raise so the pilots bite on it but keep the acpa industry worst hourly guarantee.

Hmmm... MEC executive.. the new chair moved from executive and maybe secretary is the same, but the rest come from outside the executive, 2 of them were "no" voting status reps on the last deal.

NC has a new chair and I thought at least one new member on top of that. Either way they march to what the status reps vote.

YYZ has all new status reps, there are new chairs in YWG and YVR, and a new rep in YUL... 70% change in voting MEC status reps.

That's what really matters. Those status reps are the ones calling the plays. They voted this executive, they select the committee members, they were voted in by the membership. Who did you vote for?

Another key point for next negots is I'm pretty sure there will be another MEC Exec selection next year in the spring some time...so before negots really gets going.

Not really an ideal time for change but lets see what happens there. Hopefully there is a plan.

The Free Masons of the ACA MEC won't be sharing anything like this with commoners.

I think you mean he can't handle the parties, booze, steaks and thuggery.
