Position: Captain - DHC-8 100/300 Series
Term: Full-Time, Permanent
Location: Waterloo International Airport (CYKF), Ontario Company: Great North Airlines

Great North Airlines is a Canadian CAR 705 air operator based at Kitchener/Waterlooo (CYKF), operating DHC-8-100/300 and CRJ-200 series aircraft. We are a small, tightly-run operation where crews are known by name, decisions get made quickly, and pilots deal directly with the people running the airline. Our pilots are represented by the Air Line Pilots Association, International (ALPA). We are currently expanding our Dash 8 flight crew complement and are seeking experienced Captains to join the team.

Ideal candidates will already hold a current DHC-8 PPC. That said, we are prepared to train the right candidate - if you bring the experience, judgement and professionalism we are looking for, a lack of current type qualification will not rule you out. There is no training bond.

Requirements

Valid Canadian Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) - Aeroplane
Valid Category 1 Medical Certificate
Valid Restricted Radiotelephone Operator's Certificate (Aeronautical)
3,000 hours total time
2,000 hours multi-engine
1,000 hours multi-engine PIC
Legally entitled to work in Canada
Eligible to obtain and maintain a Transportation Security Clearance / RAIC
Able to hold a valid passport and travel without restriction
Able to meet Great North Airlines' hiring and training standards, including a successful interview and simulator assessment

Preferred Qualifications

Current or recently expired DHC-8 100/300 series PPC
Previous CAR 705 airline experience
Previous PIC experience on multi-engine turbine equipment
Turboprop and northern/winter operations experience
