Ya the 17 year jazz contract is literally insane. Eat the young. Congrats on assuring flow to AC….congrats on keeping all the express flying. Keep up the good work! Only 9 more years to go. I wonder how many more blatant violations Jazz will have to deal with in that time.
I think Cargo jet can do better than what was presented, voting down was the right way to go. It was heavily front loaded to catch up. It does not present as significant gains. Hopefully, the company can start to understand. Good luck.

There is no renegotiation, it has gone straight to binding arbitration, the day after the vote results and its now in Kaplan's hands.

2 whole business days to rubber stamp award a TA with no changes, 69% on the pilots voted down.
Also mandating we have no constitutional right to strike as any impasse in negotiations on the next contract will be handled in the exact same way, with binding arbitration.

Looking at previous Cargojet Collective Agreements, the binding arbitration language in the event of a failed negotiation is a holdover from their UNIFOR days. Same as Morningstar. Canadian North had it as well as a holdover from First Air days, but their MEC got rid of that language this bargaining cycle.
