The bin Laden family is a big one. Osama is one of the black sheep, and Wafah says she has never met him. Watched an interview of her during the summer. I feel sorry for her, because she lives in an increasingly judgmental United States where stereotypes increasingly prevail.

Earlier this year while in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, the guy at the FBO pointed at the spot outside to an HS-800 starting up. He stated that it "is one of bin Laden's jets." I think he was going for shock value and to see my reaction. The bin Laden family is a very wealthy one, having made their fame in the construction business (before of course 9-11).

As far as not following the family line goes, check out Ron Reagan Jr. Unlike the father, he is more to the left and ironically criticizes the Republican Party and George W Bush despite both of them idolizing his late father.
