What is the rough timeline to expect an interview invite following the Prescreen Questionnaire? Will everyone who received the prescreen questionnaire get an interview invite, or will there be further shortlisting for the in-person interview?

Interview invites will go out over the next 4 weeks. Not everyone who prescreens will automatically get an interview.

Yes, all of the cadets who had graduated the program were hired in December.

Is the COMPASS test still in place ?

Yes it is.

As in, not required to retest COMPASS?

We're planning courses of 14 pilots in each class on October 5th, 19th and Nov 9th.

We will likely have openings available in most of our bases depending on the internal bid awards for current pilots. At least half of the new hires will be YYZ based, but we should have some First Officer positions available in YYC, YEG (very limited) YVR and potentially YUL as well.

We anticipate some amount of additional hiring throughout 2027 as well.

I did my video assessment in Jan and i never got any update since. I know the next step would be psychometric questionnaire which i have been waiting since. I have accumulated more experience in the meantime and portal will never let me update my resume or experience. I have send multiple emails to careers and pilotjobs emails but no reply. It’s been dead silence. Is there something wrong from my end or is this the normal issue everyone run into these days? I would really appreciate anyones input.

Hi Flair Ops,
I was successful in the interview process held in January, but unfortunately I wasn't selected for the ground school that took place a few weeks later. I was informed that I had been placed in the hiring pool.
I have a question regarding how the hiring pool works. Does being in the hiring pool mean that candidates will eventually receive a job offer when positions become available, provided there are no changes to their eligibility? I ask because I've noticed that Flair continues to conduct new interviews even though there appear to be candidates already waiting in the hiring pool.
Could you clarify how candidates are selected from the hiring pool and how it fits into the ongoing interview process?

I received a screening 2 weeks ago. My buddies submitted the screening on the same day as me. They already got the psychometric questionnaire email. May I ask if I get rejected will I get an email? Or I should keep waiting and it is normal? Thanks Flairops.

If you are not successful you should receive a rejection email. If you haven't heard back you are still under consideration. If you don't hear back in the next week or two, send an email to pilotjobs@flyflair.com to check the status of you application.

All upgrades in this round of hiring are coming from internal candidates. We won't be recruiting DEC's in 2026.

We have FO positions available in all bases this fall, except YUL. Alberta we can only accomodate a couple in each base, YVR about 6-10 and YYZ up to 25.

Successful candidates bid for their desired base in order of seniority and it will be assigned after they accept their job offer, a couple of weeks before class starts.

Hi Flair OPS, I hope you're doing well. I completed my pre-screening video interview on July23, 2026, and haven't received any updates since then. I also sent a follow-up email to the recruitment team but haven't received a response yet. I completely understand the process can take some time, but I was wondering if there is an expected timeline for candidates who have completed the pre-screening, or if no news simply means it's still under review? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
