Looking for some advice on DHC-2/C208/DHC-3?

Post by NWOFloats98 »

Just finished another float season, about 370 hours on a Beaver, with close to 650 float total and 1100(Plus a little) hours.

I know not many people actually post on this subpage, but I wanted to know what sort of wage I should ask for on a beaver; or if a company will hire me for a caravan or otter as a first year guy, what wage would be reasonable to pitch for?

What I want to know:

First Year Van salary for floats?
First Year Otter salary floats?
Second year DHC-2 Salary floats?

For a bit more context I have no turbine time to date and got offers of 8000-9300$/month this season (Beaver), now I have more experience on a beaver what's a reasonable ask? 10k? Or is that being greedy?

Hopefully someone sees this in a month or so and can give me some guidelines to help prep me for next season

check out the PCC website, there's ads there for both the otter and beaver with pay rate. that will give you a baseline. The rest of the operators start advertising in the new year and the range in pay can be wide, depending on experience and need. ie, i know a place in NWO that pays beaver pilots 15k a month, and another one pays 6500 a month....
