Interesting 777/78 rumor

Post by Rebel »

Their is an interesting 777/78 rumor that goes like this. AC supposedly is negotiating with the GTAA to lease the land presently occupied by the old Boeing hangers to construct a new YYZ 777/78 facility.

The GTAA never owned the land. Boeing sold the land to Air Canada as part of the B777/787 deal.

The rumour I heard (straight from the last YYZ LEC meeting) is that it is going to be used for a new Flight Ops Center, including Crew Room & Flight Planning area. Parking will be done there, with infield shuttle to your flights. Don't know what it means if travelling on a personnal pass.
