DOM Wages

Post by llewxam »

I Know there has been lots of wage posts, but responses are varied. I'm negotiating a wage for DOM position with a company that has about a dozen aircraft the largest being caravans. I have been in the position for about 7 years now. Does someone have a more accurate guess of a reasonable wage.

$75,00 to $80,00 would be fair.

Don't settle for less.

Wages

As DOM do you know the operating costs of the fleet?
Can you reduce costs improve productivity and reliability over the current situation.
What is the value of inventory and staff, the last engine visit?

If you know the answers you might be in a possition to reduce the present cost structure and I normally advocate you get paid for performance.
If you can save the operation 100k next year then that's what you ask for.

If you plan to step up from the line and hold the status quo then you get what is offered.

I think 7-80k is normal for a fleet that size, which is not much considering the first PT6 visit will make that look small.
