Hi,
I was wondering if anyone who has a CPL with multi/IFR ratings and the IATRA (who haven't flown a high performance a/c yet) could tell me what it says on thier licence in terms of what it is valid for.
For example, on a CPL with multi/IFR ratings WITHOUT the IATRA it says "all single pilot non-high performance, single and multi-engine land aeroplanes - group 1 instrument to bla bla bla - currency provisions"
Just curious as to what the IATRA changes in that statement. Does it say multi pilot? ...High performance, after? Thanks in advance for any input!

I don't believe that it will say high performance. You need a type rateing for each high performance aircraft, and it will be listed on your licence.
As for multy pilot, I don't know, I have an ATPL and I don't believe that it says multy pilot. If your type rateing is on a two crew aircraft than you would be qualified multi-pilot on that aircraft.
You would probally have to have a siamese twin to have the designation multi-pilot on your licence.

I asked my instructors about that a while ago...
I didn't see any wording any different from my private license versus theirs, except for the inclusion of multi-engine airplanes.
The ATPL with the AA on the license certainly stood out though! Gee, only 1200 hours to go!
Good luck!

Thanks for the replies everyone. But still wondering, after you write the IATRA, is there any indication at all that you wrote it on your licence? ie - on your licence it will say "Commercial Pilot - Aeroplane, IATRA"? ...How do you show that you have it done without carrying the exam result papers everywhere?
I run into this all the time when our company upgrades rampies to the King Air or Metro. When you write your IATRA, you are given a piece of paper that says you passed. Hold on to that because I have to see that before I can sign off your type rating. If you do not have that piece of paper, your type rating is held and you cannot exercise the priveledges. Plus in am in dodo.
The average pilot, despite the somewhat swaggering exterior, is very much capable of such feelings as love, affection, intimacy and caring.
These feelings just don't involve anyone else.

Nope, nothing is physically written on the license showing IATRA or SARON / SAMRA written. I'm sure TC can pull up your file on the computer, and if required get the full skinny on your status. I've never known anybody to submit proof of exam results.
If you go write the exam, I've heard that some TC officials may or may not look at your logbook for proof of minimum hourly requirements. But you still need to bring your license and LVC, and all that other stuff!

No change on the licence, your result sheet is the only proof that you have it written, however, it's quite easy to get another copy of it from Transport if you lose it. Just got back to where you wrote and ask them to re print it (I had to do that for my INRAT).
When I wrote the IATRA in Toronto in January they wanted to see my log book to make sure I had the minimum number of hours to write it.
