Grasshopper, Pelmet might be reffering to this. The pilot on this did an excellent job . Just another reason Carvans should not be flown IFR in Icing.
Occurrence No. : A05C0217 Occurrence Type: INCIDENT VOLUNTARY
Class : CLASS 5 Reportable Type:
Date : 22-11-2005 Time : 14:30 MST
Region of Responsibility : CENTRAL
Location : CYZF YELLOWKNIFE, 60 NM W, NORTHWEST TERRITORIES
Aircraft Information:
Registration : C-GATV Operator : AIR TINDI
Manufacturer : CESSNA Operator Type: COMMERCIAL
Model : 208 B CARs Info: 703 - AIR TAXI
Injuries: Fatal : 0 Serious : 0 Minor : 0 None : 6 Unknown : 0
Occurrence Summary :
A05C0217: The Cessna 208B Caravan, C-GATV, was en route from Yellowknife, NT, to Fort Simpson. At approximately 50 nm west of Yellowknife, the pilot received weather information indicating freezing rain at Fort Simpson, which prompted a return to Yellowknife. The pilot advised ATC of his intentions and commenced a 180-degree climbing turn to 9000 feet ASL with the autopilot engaged. During the climb the aircraft accumulated approximately 1/4 inch of ice and the airspeed decayed from approximately 120 kts to 100 kts. Shortly after rolling out on the reciprocal heading, the pilot experienced a slight buffet. He disconnected the autopilot and the aircraft pitched over into a stall. The pilot attempted to recover and entered a secondary stall which developed into a spin. The pilot regained control after an approximate 1500 foot altitude loss and proceeded to Yellowknife.

Pelmet,
Sorry if I sounded rude in my first post, but I didn't know what you were talking about. As the INCIDENT report says, it happened over 2 months ago. I didn't realize that it was still a hot topic. Obviously if you know about the Husky, why are you asking about it?
Could it be Young Grasshopper that you are trying to make nothing out of something or are you now enlightened? They also unfortunately seem to have written off a Husky recently? Any details?
