CONSERVATIVE Minister of Transport

Post by Hedley »

mmm ... say it again, CONSERVATIVE Minister of Transport.

Ok, now here's our chance. Enough whining here, time to do something about it.

Shortly, we will have a new Minister of Transport. He and his staff will, I am sure, be very interested to learn what the bureaucracy has been up to, this last 13 years of comfortable Liberal rule.

The bureaucrats, who fear the Conservatives, will assure the Minister and his new staff that everything is just going great, and that no changes are required.

That's where you and I come in. I'm a bit busy this week, but I intend to write a letter to the new Minister of Transport, documenting questionable and outright illegal activity of the bureaucrats, complete with names, dates and place.

The recurring theme is that the bureaucrats aren't doing their job, and instead are wasting their time abusing their offices, pursuing petty and illegal personal vendettas.

For example, out in BC, one might wonder why Transport spends so much effort chasing and battling ., instead of investigating complaints about a certain operator that I can't name, if I want this thread to not be deleted by the moderators here.

Here in Ontario, I intend to document something similar - bureaucrats not doing their jobs, and instead pursuing personal vendettas.

We need facts, though, not emotion. I know it's hard, but sit on your anger and stick to the facts, and ask why the public sector is consistently held to a lower standard than the private sector.

Either the bureaucratic leadership was aware of the problems (in which case they are part of the problem) or they were ignorant of the widespread problems, in which case they are incompetent. Either way, they need to be replaced.

If you wish, PM you proposed letter to me, and I will volunteer my time to edit your letter to the Minister, and PM it back to you.

The voters of Canada have spoken, now it's time to act.

I heard there was a Conservative running in BC who was a retired AC captain.

Chances are he might be the new minister. :)
